Valle del Sol (Sun Valley) is located 15 minutes away from the cities of Murcia and Cartegana. Only 10 minutes away from the Mediterranean coast and the Mar Menor, giving two seashores! - 45 minutes away from the international airport of Alicante. We are also close to the future international airport of Corvera. All the airports and towns are easily reached by the new infrastructure of roads and motorways, which are being built in recognition of the new importance of this area.

Murcia enjoys a Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sun per year. An average temperature of 21 C and mild winters make Murcia an exceptional place for year long living.

In recent years, Murcia has experienced considerable growth. Murcia is situated deep in the south east of Spain and simply has it all! One of its outstanding features is that it enjoys two shores, that of the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor is a large lagoon, which encloses 170 km2 of warm, salt water. Years ago this lagoon was joined to the Mediterranean Sea but is now separated by a 24 km strip of land, better known as La Manga. The area possesses an exceptional micro climate which makes it an ideal place to enjoy aquatic sports all year round.

Murcia itself is surrounded by lemon and orange trees and is located in the heart of its orchards made possible by the continuous mild climate. With more than 300 days of sunshine per year, it competes for first place amongst the sunniest regions of Europe. Unless you deliberately set out to lie back and do nothing, it is hard to ignore all that Murcia has to offer. You can explore the region by car, bicycle or on foot and you will be pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the scenery on offer. There are vast fields growing artichokes, almonds, olives etc all situated in picturesque villages scattered over the valleys. Nature has many faces in this area where a green oasis will change to desert like scenery. Vast plains merge into rugged mountain chains. Temperatures vary from a cool breeze at the golf course to a ‘toasting’ heat on the beach.
